DESCRIPTION

On an HPE ProLiant Gen9 and HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers running server running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 or Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory PCI Express) drives, the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS) may terminate unexpectedly shortly after the service started.

When this issue occurs, the HPE AMS service will be restarted automatically up to 2 times.

SCOPE

Any HPE ProLiant Gen9 server with NVMe drives and HPE AMS Version 10.70 or any HPE ProLiant Gen10 server with NVMe drives and HPE AMS Version 1.1 installed.

RESOLUTION

A future release of the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS) will correct this issue.

As a workaround, if the service remains in a stopped state, manually start the service to restore HPE AMS functionality:

  1. Open the Services window.
  2. Right-click on the Agentless Management Service.
  3. Select the Start option.

This advisory will be updated when additional solutions become available.
